To experience Evil Sword is to run through the forest with a pack of feral children as your guide, their motives unclear. Will they ambush you in a thicket and steal your trinkets? Or lead you laughing to hidden wonders? The bass lines lurch like a lumber cart careening downhill surrounded by a swarm of bells and whistles, and out of dark hollows echo haunting chants of life and death. Evil Sword have chewed, scratched, and carved out their songs in the same way a mouldering tree trunk has been shaped by the markings of wild animals: in Bacchanal celebration.
